Nothing like combating warm weather mugginess with a bowl of hot, homemade bún riêu–a Vietnamese rice vermicelli soup marked by its use of mắm ruốc (shrimp paste) & tomato broth with a sort of fluffy, aerated crab cake as its starring protein.  You got to fight fire with fire, right?
